Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website text-plus.org.

Accessibility Status

Text+ aims to make this website as accessible as possible in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Disability Equality Act (BGG) and the Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).

We are continuously working to remove existing barriers. The entire website content, as well as any changes and newly created content, undergo automatic checks to determine whether they conform to the WCAG 2.2.

WCAG 2.2 include 13 guidelines, which are organized under four principles: perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Each guideline has testable success criteria at three levels: A, AA, and AAA. These success criteria determine whether a website conforms to WCAG.

Text+ strives to achieve AA conformance. Any deviations identified during automated checks trigger corresponding alerts. These alerts are collected automatically and processed subsequently. Depending on priority —and to the extent possible within reasonable technical effort— these issues are resolved.

This website consists of about 450 individual pages, mostly available in both German and English. Most of the content is accessible and displayable without barriers.

The main types of barriers are:

  • Some colored text elements (especially “tags”) use small font sizes and a static contrast ratio of 3:1 instead of the required 4.5:1.
  • Some images and graphics lack alternative text, have non-descriptive alt text or are inaccessible in themselves.
  • Linked files such as PDFs carry content but are not subject to accessibility checks.
  • Linked tools and external services are not subject to accessibility checks.
