Text+ cooperation projects for 2026 have been finalized
It was that time again: with annual funding for selected collaborative projects, the NFDI consortium Text+ is strengthening the expansion and sustainable accessibility of (research) data and services for the scientific community. Funding for collaborative projects is available for a maximum period of twelve months, and working groups, individuals, research institutions, and research networks are eligible to apply. For 2026, we are pleased to announce the funding of the following five out of a total of fourteen projects:
Early modern medical letters: processing, data harmonization, and integration (JADE) from the task area Collections,
ISO 24624:2016 – Transcription of spoken language: Resources, documentation, and multilingual demo corpus (Transcription+) from the task areas Collections and Infrastructure/Operations,
Digital inscription research – Maya hieroglyphs in Text+ (IDIOM+) from the task area Editions,
Long-term availability and integration of ancient Egyptian dictionaries in a network (AWV 2.0) from the task area Lexical Resources and
Development of a cross-linguistic standard representation model for frame semantic data (MuLingFrames) from the task area Lexical Resources.
Further information on the funded projects and the tender structure can be found on the page on collaborative projects.
We would like to thank all participants for their great commitment and interest in collaborating with Text+. Looking ahead to future collaboration with the selected projects, we are very excited about their innovative approaches and confident that they will expand the Text+ infrastructure in a sustainable manner.
