Invitation to the 2nd SSH Open Marketplace Community Editathon

In many contexts of the digital social sciences and humanities—such as research data management, data competence centers, the NFDI, research infrastructure projects, or directly within the research community—valuable resources are continuously being developed. These include tools, services, software, training materials, documentation, and workflows. However, such results often disappear from the community’s view once a project ends.
The SSH Open Marketplace (SSHOMP) has been an established European platform for several years that helps make such resources sustainably visible, connect them with other resources, and integrate them into workflows. The goal is to facilitate and promote their use by researchers and teachers.
Against this background, we warmly invite you to the second German-language community editathon of the SSH Open Marketplace. The event will take place on 2 July 2026 (lunch-to-lunch) on-site at the Max Weber Foundation in Bad Godesberg.
Together we would like to further expand the SSH Open Marketplace and enrich it with new resources. Participants will have the opportunity to:
- create new resource entries in the SSH Open Marketplace
- curate and connect existing entries
- discuss or present their own use cases
- provide feedback for the further development of the Marketplace
To enable intensive and productive collaboration, participation is limited to 20 people (first come, first serve).
